| We have a saying around her about diving in and that's Feet First. Head first will break more than habits if you know what I mean. ![]() Good luck. |

| more patterns...........this only works for integers less than 50, however. take 2 integers......let's say 32 and 13............add them, you get 45. 32 = 3 + 2 = 5 13 = 1 + 3 = 4 4 + 5 = 9 Whole integer answer of 32 + 13 is 45.......you do the math........ ![]() like I said, I think it works solidly up to 50 and down........I know it breaks down over the century mark........ but this is this......this is pattern recognition...........you folks are seeing it live happen to me, and my wondering why this is so...........think of it as the truman show meets primer.......... ![]() and if I should get at 3/8" drill bit, let's not talk about trepanning, eh? __________________ "The future is unwritten." | speaking of 1.618......it ties into the fibonacci sequence.........as follows: 1+2=3........3/2 = 1.5 2+3=5........5/3 = 1.66 3+5=8........8/5 = 1.6 5+8=13......13/8 = 1.62 so in four iterations of the fibonacci sequence we are essentially there. Nothing wrong with that, it's number, and numbers do crazy things (remind me to tell you guys the ballad of the missing dollar). But the problem lies in nature, as 1.6 is ALL over the place in nature. And I mean all over the stinkin' place. And that bugs the snot out of me. Why? Because then there are only two possible outcomes for why that ratio is so prevalent in nature. 1. Coinkydink. 2. We were built. I don't like either option, but damned if I can find a third. and goku, thanks for the pics, man.........got one as my desktop right now........fantastically beatiful stuff. __________________ "The future is unwritten." more on pattern recognition.........man, I gotta stop thinking, methinks. this works, to the best of my knowledge, on 2 whole integers less than 50.......I've not played with it much, as I just figured it out recently showing my son how to add numbers in his head rapidly, as opposed to counting on your fingers....... ANYWAY............. let's take two numbers...............let's take 23 and 36. 23+36=59. 23 = 2+3 = 5. 36 = 3+6= 9. 5+9=14, same as the sum of them do. 15 and 24 = 39 1 and 5 = 6 2 and 5 = 6 3 and 9 = 6. odd. __________________ "The future is unwritten." Inn Keeper thought that $30 over reg price a little so gave the bellhop $5 to take up to the guys. Bellhop sneaked two bucks in his pocket and gave $3 to the dudes. So now instead of the 3 dudes paying $10 each, they now only paid $9 each. 3 X 9 = $27 plus the 2 bucks in bellboy pocket is $29. And the other $1? |
