Default Naomi's picture of the Goddess Kannon (and more!)

The main reason for this thread is to share with you the picture my daughter Naomi did of the Goddess Kannon (Goddess of Mercy). I was shocked when I saw this picture and figured it must have been done by one of her teachers...but she did it all by herself. She has managed to (somehow! ) capture the economy of expression that is at the heart of Zen art. And she is only 5...

Here are some more recent pics...

Naomi, Leon and Sora enjoying Christmas after a hot spring:

After McDonalds:

At Mama's recent birthday dinner:

Picture by Leon of Naomi (and mama in background) on the subway coming back. Cool Pic!:

At the restaurant they had a 2-hour drink as much alcohol as you want deal...so me and my wife did just that...this is me after drinking about a full bottle of malibu in less than 2 hours:

One of the boys at school was trying too hard to kiss Naomi and ended up butting her in the mouth and cutting her lip (Despite being her father, I totally sympathize with the little boy...those of you who read my blog last year will remember how difficult it was for me to even get ONE KISS as my Xmas present from her...). Next day when she went to school she got a big nervous with all the kids running around so she got a day off. I took her with me to the hot spring. Before that she enjoyed mini-donuts:

Cheers,

Eisho

Delightful. Very nice picture and from a 5 year old too. Awesome.
Beautiful children. They all get their looks and talent from their mom?
Yeah, I see your chest puffed up with pride.
Thanks.

Hahaha The way my wife tells it, the only thing they have inherited from me is their ability to make a mess and then take 10x longer than necessary to tidy up after...
